Seminar at the LPCA, Dunkirk
Invited to the Laboratoire de Physico-Chimie de l’Atmosphère (LPCA, Université du Littoral Côte d’Opale in Dunkirk), I gave a seminar entitled Histoires de cinétiques et d’instruments (stories of kinetics and instruments): three stages of my path, from laboratory astrophysics to atmospheric chemistry, then to the structural study of individual biomolecules. My thanks to Gaël Mouret for the invitation.
Three parts: the coupling of a CRESU reactor to a photoelectron–photoion coincidence mass spectrometer, developed during my PhD in Rennes (Rev. Sci. Instrum. 92, 014102 (2021)), with the influence of gas mixing on the interpretation of kinetic measurements (arXiv:2306.12349); the organic peroxy radicals detected by PTR-MS and their reactivity toward surfaces in a flow tube, measured at KTH in Stockholm (JACS Au 4, 1875 (2024)); and electrospray ion deposition (soft landing) to study the structure of molecules one by one, my current developments in Stuttgart.
I’m making the abstract and the slides available.
